Sharps Moulds now available from "Moose Moulds, LLC"

Post by moosette »

Hello All:

My name is Sandy (aka "Moosette") and I am the Operations Manager of a newly created bullet mould manufacturing company called "Moose Moulds, LLC". I am new to this forum and am still learing the "ins-and-outs" of posting!

All moulds are made from aluminum, are available either single cavity or double cavity and come complete with handles. Since we are a new company, our website is in the process of being created (http://www.moosemoulds.com) however, we have a Facebook page that has a listing of all our available moulds, with pictures. Click on the following link to be directed: https://www.facebook.com/MooseMoulds(You don't need to be a member of Facebook to view our page)

We currently have a supply of 544-480 and 557-490 Christmas Tree ringtail moulds, as well as the "France" Sharps 542-485 and the Sharps .40 caliber 412-360 mould. (Pictures Attached)

For mould inquires or ordering information, shoot us an e-mail: moosette@moosemoulds.com or call the number listed below.

We are continuing to expand our selection. Also available is our newly released "Moose Juice" mould prep - receive a free sample bottle with your order!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

A couple of questions:

What alloy do you recommend for the ringtail bullets?

What is the actual bullet diameter of the different ringtails? I guess I could go look at your website, but I have a case of the lazies tonight.

We recommend using soft pure lead for casting -

The Christmas tree ringtails are as follows:
544-480 is .524, .534, .544
557-490 is .537, .547, .557

There is no taper to the other (2) bullets shown.

Hope this helps, have a great day!

Moosette see you at the next springtown shoot. Is there any chance that you will be coming out w/ a sumi wad cutter sharps bullet that will fit charlies tubes? last one I have seen was the one Bagdon designed. none of them around. I use the brooks mold right now. but would like the wadcutter for individules. even w/ a spotting scope my eves are having trouble seeing the holes in the black.

Not sure what style/design you are looking for, we know what a wad cutter looks like and a christmas tree - just not sure of one that would fit charlie's tubes. If you could give us dimensions and sizes - maybe a picture, or a bullet - we can take a look and let you know!

Thanks for stopping by,

When adding moulds to your inventory plase don't overlook the 50 cal shooters. A sharps style christmasstree ring tail with .501,.505, .512 rings & a .464 to .467 rintail so to fit Hahn tubes & 510 gr weight would make a great hunting round.Just one mans opinion.

Actually, once Moose finishes the cutter for the current mould he's working on, the 50 Cal Sharps Christmas tree is next to be done! We've gotten numerous requests on this one, only difference is - bands will be .490 / .500 / .510, but the ringtail will most certainly be custom made to fit Charlie's tubes! Will post on here (with pics) when ready for production!

Thanks for the suggestion - keep them coming :)

On your facebook page you picture some of the Wilkinson bullets. What diameters do you make those moulds in?
