pressure plate

Post by loophole »

Recently acquired a Farmingdale '66 carbine. Looks almost new. How tightly is the pressure plat supposed to fit in the block? Mine is tight--requires use of small screwdrivers in slots to remove from block. No sign of rust, damage or corrosion on the block or plate.
Any thoughts appreciated.

It is fine, after every time you shoot, take it, along with the cleanout screw and the nipple out and clean them. Use anti-sieze for assembly
