pressure plate

Post by loophole »

Recently acquired a Farmingdale '66 carbine. Looks almost new. How tightly is the pressure plat supposed to fit in the block? Mine is tight--requires use of small screwdrivers in slots to remove from block. No sign of rust, damage or corrosion on the block or plate.
Any thoughts appreciated.

It's a great shooting rifle. I roll my own cartridges using the ring tail bullet with 45grs. of ffg using the paper of Subway. I've tried just bullet and loose powder but prefer the rolled cartridge.

If I can be of any help just keep typing,I'll do what I can.
