I've spent some time going through the archives on this site and the N-SSA site and I find almost no info on the .45 cal mod '63 military rifle.
I'd appreciate any info any of you may have. I'm looking at a farmingdale rifle. Were these barrels the same specs as the '74 barrels in that era?
Anybody know the bore and groove dia? Twist rate?
Can anyone recommend a good bullet and charge?
Thanks in advance.

If at first you don't secede, try, try again.

Re: 45 cal mod '63
loophole
I have a Farmingdale 1863 military carbine in 45 cal. with serial number in the 500's.
Mine has 6 lands and groves with a .450 bore and a .460 groove and as best I can measure a twist rate of 1 in 48".
Never shot mine so I can't help with the bullet question.
Don't know if this helps with your rifle question but it may be a start.
