Decided it was time to play with my .50 '63 Military Rifle. Cloudy day, but no wind and only -5*C.

After watching me shoot a five shot so-so 3-1/2" 'minute-of-moose' offhand group at 50m, a guy shooting a 22-250 from the bench at 100m saw me aiming off hand at the 10" x 12" 100m gong and said - "You're kidding, right?" I let the rifle answer - "Bang! Clang!" five times in a row.

Then I quit. Couldn't get a gloved finger into the trigger guard and my bare shooting hand had enough fun for the day.

Oh , to go back to when if'n you were shooting a trapdoor, you was laughed at and considered old, yet if'n you were shooting a high number '03, you was considered the cats meow. Nice to dream every now and then. And remember. Jay Y.
