Pedersoli Bullet Mold

Post by Niederlander »

Gentlemen,
Has anyone here used the Pedersoli Sharps mold in the .54 Shiloh chamber? If so, what were your results?

Greetings Sir. New to the board.

I shoot the Confederate Sharps Carbine in the .54 and use the Pedersoli bullet shooting in the N-SSA competitions in the Southern region.
I use Nitrated paper and had the breech and spring works tweaked by Mr. Flees. The round does well. Heavy at 535 grains, but a nice
round and with the 4th ring being slightly smaller (so that it can fit the pricey brass cartridges that I thought I was going to use originally from Pedersoli) and then I can roll my tubes and use finger nail polish to hold the round in the tube.

My '63 #3 sporter seems to like the Brooks "Hahn Style" .54 bullet along with the Rapine .54 bullet. I didn't have much luck with the Pedersoli bullet.

I am not a 1863 owner or shooter, but I just found this on ebay.
it is a ringtail bullet, so some of you might be interested in it.
