The Schutzen caps suck! I'm sticking with the RWS.

Not sure if its the size or what but they don't go off very well. I even tried turning a nipple down slightly , no luck.

Sounds like your hammer is not hitting properlyhad that w an amie sport I had. Hammer was not hitting center so winged caps whete a problem. Had a frI end bend it to hit center.
Lower the hammer slowly w a cap on it see whete it stricks. Mine was catching on the back end of the cap.

300s and 301s go off fine, The others , not so good. Maybe a bad batch . I'll try them on my Hawkins. I was so ticked I forgot about that.

My local shop has the No. 1081fl Dynamit Nobel caps. I have had no problem using them. Just bought a second tin since I am starting to run low on them. I don't shoot the 1863 very often. Wish I had more time for it. Between shooting and clean up seems to take most of a day. Sure is fun tho!
Happy Shooting!!! :D
