Lyman 515141 Bullet Mould

Post by Todd Birch » Wed Apr 21, 2004 10:12 am

Up to now, I've been shooting bullets cast from a Lee aluminum mould that have shot surprisingly well from my '63 Military Rifle. I wanted to shoot the rifle ASAP and the Lee was available.

I recently acquired a Lyman 515141 and it produces a great looking bullet!
I haven't shot any yet, but I will soon.

The problem with the Lee product was that the sprue cutter never cleared the base of the bullet fully when tapped open. This caused a slight deformation or nick on many bullets as they were hung up on that side.

If there is a .50 shooter out there on a tight budget, have I got a deal for you.....
