54 caliber gang moulds
A have a four cavity Shiloh gang mould. Makes hollow based bullets. REALLY clever design. Anyone know when these were available and if they came in other calibers?

KLW,
Wow, maybe I found it or something similar. In LYMAN MUZZLE LOADER HANDBOOK, 1st, ed., I found Shiloh made bullet moulds from small round ball, to large RB (Brown Bess), to Hollow Based Minies in .44 cal. to .58. As well as solid conical in .50 and .54 caliber. The only mention of a gang mould is in the 4 cavity round ball. NOT mentioned was my favorite (accurate to 130 yd. and sentimental) Buffalo "beer can" type solid. There were others of that wad cutter type as minies.
Now then, when did Shiloh stop making moulds and why? The afore mentioned Buffalo Slug came with my carbine @1978.
Hope this helped some. Gregg (first ed. 1976, sorry)
