Shiloh 1863 lock on a 1874

I was wondering if a Shiloh 1863 lockplate would fit on my 1874 Saddle Rifle?Would it be just a simple matter of tansferring the guts of my 1874 Shiloh Sharps to an 1863 Lockplate ?
