Newly acquired '63

Post by Todd Birch »

Yahoo!!

I just swapped for an 'as new' .54 Shiloh '63 Sporter! This is my fourth Shiloh rifle and my 2nd percussion model. 30" OB, DSTs, military butt, standard rear sight.

I have very much enjoyed my other 'paper' Sharps (.50 Military Rifle) and look forward to shooting this new one.

It comes with a Rapine 'Christmas Tree' ring tail bullet mould but no sizer.

According to the Seller's book, only 16 '63 Sporting Rifles were made due to the demands for military rifles and carbines at the time.

Any and all suggestions for the care and feeding of this rifle are welcome and appreciated.

Now I'm goin' out lookin' fer a b'ar with the .50 Military.....
