Found this little ad in a May 1984 issue of the NRA 'Rifleman' magazine:
"Clear, concise, well illustrated instructions for the loading, firing and maintenance of 1859 and 1863 New Model military and sporting Sharps percussion breechloaders; both original pieces and Shiloh reproductions.
Includes details on preparation of combustible cartridges.
Paper bound - 20 pages. $2.00 post paid."
I know they still offer the instructions on making combustible rounds, but has anyone ever seen a copy of the rest?

'63 Instructions
Kilts
That's nice! Wanna share it?
I wonder why Shiloh doesn't offer it now? Or do they?

Way back ....
Me too - the prices listed break my heart!
But, even then, they were a pretty penny to a working man with a family.

I bought my NM1863 Military Rifle in 1981 and paid $400.00 for it; $290.00 coming from a state lottery win and the rest from tax refunds.
Back then, standard CW-type muzzleloaders could be had for $150-250.00.
