Hey Lee, I'm having my initials put on the French Grey LRE along with the #12 engraving pattern. My nexy Shiloh is pretty much in the beginning planning stage. #1 with 30" polished heavy half barrel, pewter tip, bone charcoal finish, extra fancy wood, AAA finish. Really thinking about the 40-70SS for this one. MVA buffalo soule rear tang, Ron Heilman front (although the powder finish may not work with the polished barrel?). No rear barrel sight, I want this gun to be strictly a silhouette gun. What you think so far? Anyone have any comments (positve or negative) on the 40-70SS for a silhouette round.
