Cleaning rod

Post by FFG »

Esteem Members,
I would like your suggestions on a cleaning rod.
I have a Shiloh # 3 with MVA long range sights.
The sight does not give clearance for a breech end cleaning rod, very close, but no cigar.
I thought perhaps a flexible rod might work.
Your thoughts and suggestions.
Thank you.

Maybe turn the sight base end for end, putting the staff towards the rear of base. Squigley

If it is just the fact that your hand or the handle of the rod is coming in contact with the rear sight, I would get a longer rod. Other wise if the base sits up too high you might check to see if the base can be reversed. Some can and some can't be. Randy
