Could you do a conversion on My Shiloh 1863 military rifle to 45-70?

I'd be interested in Kirk's answer to this question but thinking about the time and money involved in new breech block and barrel, you would be much better off selling the '63 and getting a new '74 carbine. Or probably, you would be able to buy an original Sharps '63 converted to 50/70 and have the barrel lined for less money.

Hello,
Please don't do it. Too valuable as is. Would prefer Shiloh made replica conversions of 1863 carbines and rifles in 50-70 and 45-70. Anybody agree, at least on the replica idea?
