Historic Gun Play

Hey FFFFG

Good story about Elmer.

There's a cabin not far from here where a for real live shootout took place with some renegade half breeds ("The Wild McLeans", sons of a Hudson's Bay Factor) that went bad in 1869. The stuff of movies.....

Unfortunately, no one cares and what could be a great occasion for a re-enactment as a tourist draw languishes. I've approached the land owners on the topic a number of times, but to no avail.
Same for cowboy action shooting, mounted and afoot. Here in Canada's ranching heartland we're more concerned about the nearest Starbucks location than our own history and heritage.
