I really wanted a bull barrel 45/ 2 7/8. I have an original in this caliber but it is being rebarreled in 40/70ss. So when the deadline came and past last Feb for the bull barrels I thought that i'd have to wait a couple of years. But as of today shiloh had one 15lb gun left on the rack, so I called and dropped the plastic on it. (anyway my custom hartford won't be here until october, so gotta have something to shoot
) It is a 45/70 that I'm getting rechambered into 45/ 2 7/8. I've been told that the wood has a tiger stripe pattern to it. it is a #1 sporter.So I'm looking forward to trying to get the astounding accuracy that Kenny, Rdnck, and Sharpsman are getting with this supercool caliber. I have been following the discussion on the 45/110 and am looking forward to the adventure.
I was thinking of getting the Paul Jones 45001 mould. Would this be the best choice?
