I never was very good in math, probably the reason the wife won't let me have the checkbook, thank the good lord for plastic.
Is there a website or book that explains in an understandable method of reading the vernier tang sights available today?
Where is the starting point?
I enjoy Ol' Quigley adjusting his sight to hit the bucket in the movie, but
it seems a little far-fetched with out any known distance marks.
Thanks for the help in advance.

If you go to the sight below, from the menu on the left pick "technical information". This will give you another menu, pick "How to read a vernier scale". They explain it better than I can, and even have a simulation you can play with
