Lead alloy source for the East Coast

Post by Shiloh Sharpie »

I am looking for a source for quality alloy for competitive shooting that is available on the east coast. I usually order from Buffalo arms but would like to know if I can save some shipping cost. I am not interested in mixing my own and would like a source for quality alloy only. I am not an alchemist, I am a shooter, so no advise on how easy it is to conjur up alloys please. I am not in a position to mix my own and I have no intention to change that. Thanks.

I think that Mayco (GA) has a min order of 250 pounds. But their prices are pretty good.

Shiloh Sharpie,
I don't understand all the concern about finding lead. Don't you guys have plumbing supplys? The lead may not be 100% pure, but it's close and usually $1.oo a pound in 5 lb. bricks. Just about every community has plumbers
that still pour lead joints to repair old sewer lines. I pay $28.oo/25 lbs.
Less, if I buy in more quantity. AND, no shipping charges. :D

Shiloh Sharpie-

Might give Midwayusa a try. They have several grades of pre-mixed alloy. They also have different shipping locations, I believe.

Hope this helps.

As my original posting clearly stated I am not looking for lead, I am looking for a source of good quality alloy.
