After waiting the mandatory ten days, I brought home my 1874
carbine from the local gun shop yesterday. To say I am
happy with the Shiloh rifle is a master understatement.
What first caught my eye was the wood. I ordered
“semi-fancy” wood from the options list, but it is not
“semi” anything. It’s marvelous and most closely resembles
the stock shown on the 1874 Montana Roughrider on page 10 of
the 2004 Shiloh catalog. The standard color-case finish is
also first rate.
This is my second Sharps and my first Shiloh and everything
I have been reading here for the past few years about Shiloh
quality is true.
All I have to do now is try her out.
Thank you everyone at Shiloh.
Mike
