Casting Problems Still??

Post by Kirk »

Good morning everyone, Thought I would pass this along for anyone that may be still having problems casting or getting good bases. Steve Brooks stopped yesterday while returning from the Co. State Match, he has made a new sprue plate for his moulds. This thing has a vent in it, which keeps the lead pressure consistent. I tryed one, and it is real easy to cast well over 100 bullets per hour without tossing or weighing and still have good square bases. Take around 3-4 sec. from dipper touching mould at 90 deg. to rolling out at 0 deg. I think it is a good add on. Thanks Kirk

P.S. For you scientist reloaders I would still recommend weighing the bullets untill you see how much spread you don't have!!!
