NECK REAMER OR NECK TURNING TOOL & PILOT--WHERE TO FIND?

Post by Canyons »

Can anyone tell me who or where to find a 40 Caliber neck reamer and holder or neck turning tool and pilot. Biggest I can find is for 375 Caliber.

Have some 40-70 SS cases that need some attention.

Thanks

Canyons,

I use Forester and Wilson trimmers. For turning case necks I use the Forester hand tool.
I just worked some new .40-70 brass, I had to have Foresters grind a special piolet to fit the inside of a full length sized case were the standard piolet would not fit. Foresters are just 14 miles down the road from me, so I took several cases with me and they checked the inside of the cases and came up with a .401 diameter piolet that will rub off brass inside the case at .800.
Canyon if you go this route mesure the inside of you case. The piolets come .878 long and I had them grind the case stop off so I could insert it deeper in the case.

I use the hand held turning tool, you can turn off more then the new crank tool.
