BPCR Rimfire Competition

Post by choken »

Some folks at the BPCR Nationals shot a mini silhouette course with rimfires. Does anyone know what ranges the targets were set? It sounds like fun.

Haven't tried it, but my pard says the rams are at 200. Metres or yards, I don't recall. Others in proportion.

I think they are at 50, 100, 150, and 200 meters, because they are shooting on the long-range pistol range. Originally, the targets Lee Shaver set up for his matches for several years were at 40% of the full range. I have a set of swingers cut for 40% ranges, but have only used the turkey at 154 meters (~168 yds.) extensively. I found my CPA with some of the cheaper standard velocity ammo would readily stay on the turkey at that range, but it was a totally calm day.
