Civilian Carbine

Lucinda,
Is the civilian carbine version still available? If so what calibers, and barrel lengths? I have been looking for a rifle for my wife, but I don't want anything too heavy or too much recoil. She's not all that big or strong and may want to hunt big game.

Hi, I would look at a saddle rifle with a 26" standard half in 38-55 if I were shopping for the wife!!! Thanks Kirk
