Congratulations. Not many can say they shot a bear with a Sharps and a good size one too.

Congratulations, 7 feet wow! that's a nice bear. Love the cinnamon color. Wish we could hunt them with hounds up here.

What a great hunt ... taking a fine bear with a Shiloh in the mountains. We must not forget the toughness one has to have to hunt in the mountains and following hounds up and down slopes carrying that rifle can stretch one's mental toughness to the max. I just got back from a 40+ mile horseback trip in the mountains here on a elk scouting/grouse hunting trip for 3.5 days and I was worn out. I'm 65 years old but I was on a great trail horse.

I am looking forward to pictures of the rug as I have always thought the cinnamon colored bears were top notch.

Thanks on your complete report. Well done on your success. I have turkey season this week and bear in two weeks then doe whitetail and bear again end of month. Between them all, 4 tags left, having got a nice buck in archery season. My '74 Business rifle will be in hand for all the hunts. The 4 bear I have had on trail cams are all black with no phase coloration. Yours is a beautiful bear.
