LG, if you read the entire thread, you will see that copper and lead are not issues here.

What warranty?
And even if there was such a thing, how would the manufacturer know?

Kinda hard to guess, just what that 'trouble' is.
Are these flyers you are having or?

Re: JB bore paste diagnoses
When a rifles throws a shot randomly, it can be a real challenge to find the problem. You will have to check everything. Since the barrel is clean, I would check the wood. To properly check the buttstock always gives me the willies. It is possible that the wood has lost some moisture. Tightening the screws could fix it, or maybe a glass bed job. Also check all the screws on the rifle and sights. I hope you find your gremlin before you pull all your hair out.

Everything is tight, and It's not the wood. This is for all three rifles. Two of the three are bedded, the third cannot be for legal reasons, but it is tight too. Three different rifles, all shooting the same bullet and powder in the same amount, all shoot wild - really wild.

Are the barrels from the same maker? Same caliber, chamber & ROT?
Have you given any thought to hand-lapping?

Re: JB bore paste diagnoses
You have three different rifles, in different calibers shooting wildly. I would look for something that the rifles have in common. Bullet alloy, powder, patching paper, primers, and shooter. By any chance do you have a new batch of primers that you are using? What you are describing sounds like a broken firing pin, but I figure you have already checked that out. Next would be your eyes. If I forget to trim my eyelashes, they really mess with the light. If you have a cataract forming, not the type that clouds the lens, but the type that is a scar forming in the lens. That frustrated my wife until we figured it out. Just my thoughts, but I'm thinking looking at the rifles individually might not solve the problem.

Thats exactly what I'm doing. All that is left is me and the powder.
I might not be a great shot, but I don't suddenly miss the paper without realizing it. At least I think I don't. 2 ft fliers at 200 yards is suspicious.
One is a target muzzleloader, two are target cartridge rifles. All .45. Same bullet mould, same paper, same was. All of which used to shoot 10 shot MOAs on demand. I've played with alloy and other things, but this black grunge is involved and that is powder, at least proximally, if not ultimately.
