Daler-Rowney 28lb clear translucent paper
I was wondering through the local Walmart art section and noticed this translucent cellulose tracing paper. Has anybody ever tried this paper for patching bullets? It seems pretty tough when trying to tear it. I've looked it up on the web, but don't understand all of what I'm reading. At present I use Wilton's cooking parchment. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

I believe the thickness is .0017. I don't play with micrometers very much. In my job 1/4" is close enough. LOL

I have seen this paper or something like it in the campus book/art store. I haven't tried it myself. It looks like super tough stuff. Give it a go and let us know. It might be just the ticket for shooting with a dirty barrel.

Will do, but it may not till Spring. It's getting hard to find places to shoot this time of year. Welcome to winter in the Rockies! LOL

I tried some seemed to work okay and no stripped patches for the 20 or so shots I fired. I was using the barrel sights and at a 100 yards I was able to get a sub 2" group. Not great compared to some of the groups I've seen here, but I'm still learning this PP business.
