New Sillywet Rifle
This is my retirement gift to myself, but, retirement is at the end of 2020. I was impatient so I got it now.

Re: New Sillywet Rifle
Cody Ballard 40-65, owner shot it around 45 to 50 times and put it away. I brought it back to life with a PP load. Paul Jones money bullet. 73grs. Swiss 1.5. Ten shot group at 200yds. It was a little breezy today, but not bad. Here it comes Woody.

Retirement?
With all those target rifles, you are going to have to stay working full time at two, maybe three jobs, just to feed them.
That rifle doesn't seem too accurate. You missed the target all ten times.

Don't pay any attention to Woody. He's just trying to scare you off. Truth is he may be using a little psyc ops on you. That rifle doesn't seem too accurate. You missed the target all ten times.

Nice rifle. Hopefully, you'll be able to get it to shoot.
And, you guys leave Woody alone. He's working on a project for me and doesn't need any disruptions.

I bet Woody makes a lot of short cuts
I don't have a Cody Ballard. Looking at yours It is time I start looking.

Coltsmoke,
I'm bringing my original Ballard #7 Creedmoor up this weekend. I'm anxious to compare them side by side! I have 40 rounds loaded for it. See you tomorrow.....

Well, Mr. Ballard came to the top today on the Sillywet range and brought home the gold. PP ruled the day.

Re: New Sillywet Rifle
Congratulations! Beautiful rifle. It was a good day for Ballards and paper patch here too. Third match out and shot a 32. 40-65, Dual diameter 425 gr prolate pushed by 71 gr 1 1/2 Swiss, bullet finger seated .125", Browning chamber. Looks like I will have to cast up extras for my friends to try out. I gave a few samples out after the match They were sent down range with good results in a Meacham and a Browning. More conversions to paper.

Mold maker?? Diameters? Paper thickness? I will be shooting a couple of 40-65s at the Q. Still using greasers and they've done fine. Might want to give paper a try some day.

Colt
Very nice looking stick you have there! Can you share some more of the particulars?
Barrel length, twist, weight of rifle, etc.
If you don’t mind sharing, how/where did you find such a nice looking rifle?
Finally, can you take a pic of yourself shooting it offhand? Curious as to how you hold that critter.
Cheers!
