Sharps Firearms book Vol 1
I purchased this fine book well over a year ago and thought that Vol 1 wasn't too far behind. I haven't seen any sign of it out there. Does anyone know if they are sill planning other volumes on this?

No, he does mean Volume #1, which is on the earlier Sharps, Volume #2 with is already out, talks more about the conversions to cartridge rifles and the 1874 models.

The volume on target rifles is the next one I'm waiting for.
In the mean time I picked up a copy of Sharps Rifles of Montana, the Austin Monk Collection from Buffalo Arms. Very different than the historical studies like Sellers and Volume II of the Marcot book, but well worth buying.
Chris.

Volume I, The Percussion Era, is nice, depiction of early Sharps rifles on front with civil war scene in background.
You may hardly recognize the Sharps Rifles on the back cover.

DD,
Does that mean you have a copy? Or seen adds, listings.... I’ve been waiting since Vol II for the next one to come out.
Thanks
Don

Got the info from Roy this morning and got the check in the mail. I’ve been watching different forums for this and this was the first hint that it was out. Looking forward to getting it and reading cover to cover.
