Swiss in 1 Kilogram (2.2 LB) Containers
The previous post on Swiss powder reminded me that I have not found any information on Swiss powder packaged in 2.2 pound containers. This was available along with the standard one pound containers at the NMLRA powder magazine at the Spring Match in June. The price was $50.00 per container which was a savings over the one pound container price. Anyone know any details on this powder...has anyone tried it in single shot rifles? Does it come in the same 1, 1 1/2, 2, etc. granulations and what about lot numbers??? Thanks, Fred

Never seen it in one pound containers.
All I have ever used is in one kilo containers.

Here in Aus we only get 1kg (2.2 pound) containers, in the USA all I have seen are the 1pound containers.
The same granulations are available, but may not get imported to Australia

Same powder, just repackaged for the US market in smaller containers. All european markets (or should I say non-US) only know the 1kg containers.

I've bought it in the 1 kilo containers here in the U.S. It's the same powder, same granulations, just a different container.

Back Creek gun shop has had some. He is the major supplier for the N-SSA and is about 20 miles from me.. I shoot with the owner.

I had lunch with the owner today and asked him about 1 kilo containers. He said he has quite a few with Swiss and also some in Schuetzen. Back Creek Gun Shop is a master distributor and has been in business for over 30 years. Most of his business is with the North-South Skirmish Association. His web page is http://www.blackpowderva.com
