1st bulk shipment of Swiss

Is any one on here around long enough to remember when Goex imported the first bulk batch of Swiss powder ? Goex used there Goex cans and put a paper label on them stating it was Swiss powder and the F grade .I have one of those cans and it says 2 f but at some time I marked it with a Sharpie as 3 f US . If I remember right there F grading was different than the US makers .

the first shipment of Swiss was numbered 1-5, with 5 being the equivalent of 1fg, 4 being what became 1.5 fg, 3 was 2fg, and so forth. It was good stuff, especially compared to what was available back in the day.

I dont have the date for you but I am sure I can dig it out. It will be in the notes for my 74 Sharps.

I remember $10/lb Swiss. I had been using Goex Cartridge prior to the switch.

BFD ,I think your memory is right and the next one in line would be the 2f is really our 3f
