Which lube ribbon extruder?

Post by Hatch Green »

Compadres,
I am looking at buying a lube ribbon extruder and wondered what,if any, recommendations anyone might have. I see that Montana Armory makes one, as does Cabine Tree. There may be others out there that I'm not aware of.
Gracias,
Hatch

Hatch the Cabine Tree extruder works great, is adjustable for ribbon thickness and extrudes the ribbon onto its own wax paper ribbon automatically. I am very pleased with mine. Randy

I have both a press mounted lube ribbon extruder and the one from Cabine Tree. The extruder from Cabine Tree is by far the best extruder available in my opinion, and, it is the only one I am aware of on which one can vary the thickness of the lube ribbon. It is definitely the best one to get.

Lee and Randy,
Thanks for taking the time to answer. I think I'll order the Cabine Tree.

Hatch: I just spent the better part of an hour looking in my reloading cabinets for the C Sharps ribbon lube extruder that I knew I had. Finally found it, in the same pasteboard box that holds the 105mm howitzer gunner’s quadrant.

Howz come ya never can find stuff right away?

Any way, it’s aluminum, mounts on the press, & is nonadjustable. It forms a lube ribbon approx. one-eight inch thick.

As others stated, the Cabin Tree would be the way to go as it’s adjustable

Dave, that sounds like a good plan. My problem is that by the time I find what I'm looking for (if I do find it that is  ) I've forgotten where I've already looked.
