D-DAY

Post by rgchristensen »

At a match on D-Day, 2004, the Match Director came on the PA and announced that one of the competitors, "Old Cliff", 60 years ago had hit the beach in Normandy. We all cheered and clapped and Cliff stood up and modestly said, "Well, it's not like it was my idea!" Ever since, on D-Day I tell the story to honor "old Cliff", and the other involuntary heroes of our armed forces.
