What is a good duplex load for the 45-70?

Re: Duplex for fouling control
I used a duplex load of 6g 4831, 62g Swiss 3f, .060 fiber wad with a 410g flat nose bullet for a hunting load. It was good for a 2 1/2" group at 200yd. I could shoot 10 rounds easily without blow-tube or wiping and get good grouping.

In one of my 45-70 rifles I've been using 8 grains of 4759 and 56 grains of GOEX Fg for years with the 420 grain flat nose (457193 I think) bullet. Basically this is a hunting load, but on a calm day I can ring a 40" gong at 1000 yards without any trouble. You can shoot it all day and never mess with a blow tube or cleaning. But, I don't think duplex loads are allowed in most matches. Unfortunately you can't get 4759 now, but 4227 is a pretty close match as is 4198.
