JIM459542M5

Post by A Atwood »

Ok, so I ordered this mould from Buffalo Arms, very excited to see what I can do with it. Problem is, they told me 6-8 weeks 😩

We are planning a shoot Feb 20. I’d love to do some testing with it. Anyone on this forum wIlling to sell me some? A hundred or so? I’d certainly compensate for all expenses involved. If able and/or willing, please pm me and I’ll “shoot” funds immediately.

Thanks

It's been a couple of years but I ordered a mould and said would be "Out of Stock". Got it in 2 weeks. Your window may be a little tight but they done good by me!

Couple of things that may be of interest.

The 459542M3 will do most anything a silhouette/target BPCR shooter may decide to undertake with a 45-70 out to 600 yards and, IF, properly loaded works well at 1,000. That is a big IF and applies to the ability to load the ammunition properly more than anything else.

The 459542M5 was cloned from the M3 specifically to shoot long range in a 45-70 Shiloh with 16 twist. It is for shooting beyond 600 yards.

So, it comes down actually to what you intend to do with that 45-70 :?:

AND, your ability to load ammunition.
Sometimes you get the chicken, and sometimes you get the feathers!
