Seems like primers are starting to be available again - Outdoor Limited has a good supply. Recently bought some Remington 9-1/2 and Remington 2-1/2, 5000 each from them - they are a legitimate seller. Prices are no higher than anywhere else. Don’t think they will ever go down to the $39.95 a brick like I used to get.

There were a few Winchester and a few Federal primers available at the Edmonton Gun Show today.
They were selling for $200 for 1,000 primers.

Locally, primers are 70.00 for a sleeve of 5000 for CCI to 85.00 for Remington. All types are available. Compared to you fellas, I'd better stop complaining.

$70 for sleeve of 5000? You sure that isn’t $70 per 1000? Local shops around here were charging $39.95 per 1000 about 5 years ago but I can’t find any local gun stores in California that have them anymore. I shouldn’t really be complaining either - I think my current inventory on primers is 60,000 large rifle, 30,000 large pistol and 10,000 small pistol.

The problem is, I can remember when $70/5000 was a valid price. I just bought a brick of Remington small Pistol for $89. That's the best price I have seen in a couple of years.

That’s for sure! Yup! Get ‘em while you can - they are becoming a little more available but that could change in a blink of an eye depending on the prevailing political winds.

At the last gun show I was at a couple weeks back I saw 1 brick of 1000 large rifle for $ 320.00 CDN .I can't believe I am sorry I did not buy them. I am now looking at not being able to take in a spring shoot in order to attend one this summer .
