Starline backorder - .50-90?

Post by OldVarkWSO »

Hi all -

It’s been a while since this topic has been discussed. I was wondering if anybody has recently backordered and received any Starline brass - specifically .50-90? Their website has shown they have been allowing backorders for some time - thought I’d ask here if someone on this forum had any success.

Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving to all -

According to my feeble record keeping, Starline last ran 50-90 was November 09, 2021. I had a back order in at that time and that was the ship date. Hopefully soon, like a lot of people I have a pile of calibers out there on back order.

I just did a search for .30-40 Krag brass and I see that this site has some .50-90 Starline as well as .40-65, .45-90 and .45-100. listed.
I know nothing about this place. Never ordered anything from them.

A lot of red flags on that site.

A lot of red flags on that site.
Then it's best to stay away.

I just went into the better business bureau and looked them up.
I was going to get some .45-2.6 brass but I will pass.

Yeah, do not order any brass from that link posted above - it’s a classic scam set-up. Basically, they say no matter what you shoot including muzzleloaders we have the brass for you. Hahaha!! 😂😂😂

I also was able to place 9000 packs of 100 each 50-70 brass into the cart - this totaled out to over $1,600,000!!! Haha! 😂😂😂

That place is definitely a scam. Don’t touch em with a ten foot pole!!

I really hate to see anyone loose their hard earned dollars on scammers. Special place in hell for those people.

Yeah, these types of scammers really piss me off. They do the same thing with primers.

I checked this site out on “stopgunscams.com “and they came up as a non delivery scam.Any place I haven’t dealt with or at least know someone who has I check out through this site.Almost tried to buy a 1860 Henry 44-40 but stopped as the price wasn’t too good.Did the search and saved a lot of money!

Well, I have two things to add to this post. I may have just gotten clipped by one of these scammers over some 45-70 brass. I blocked payment after checking that web link that one of you posted. So THANK YOU to whom ever put that investigation link in the post!! I may have stopped it in time.

I am looking at placing on order for a new gun soon in a different caliber. As much trouble i’m having finding brass and supplies, thought I better order ahead of time to have stuff to load. I placed an order last week for Starline brass and saw where they had charged my card. So i am expecting a box of brass in the next few days. Then I read in another post, someone was advocating doing the same this, ordering brass before your gun is shipped.

You have got to love this forum and a couple on FB; Kenny’s and Ian’s. A fountain of ideas and information. 🎉.
