Sight for Military Carbine.

Post by Randy Bohannon »

I plan on using a MVA sight on my Military Carbine(when it comes), the rifle comes with the Lawrence rear sight and I’m familiar with that. However I plan on using the rifle for Silhouette on occasion and wondering which tang sight you would use ? The rifle will be cambered for the venerable 40-50 SBN with a 24” barrel.
Thank you for your time.

Randy.

My 40-50 has a 26 in barrel, I used 50 gns 1.5 OE and a 280 gn bullet and have a mid range MVA with buffalo windage. And I have shot to
980 with a few minutes left on the staff.
It wasn’t in any match , only at my range.

Thanks Dean that’s what I’ve been looking at, I have that sight but have decided to put a new sight on each rifle and not swap sights around anymore.

That’s the best way to do it if you can then you are not at the range looking for the staff or sight. It only gets tough when you have to go to scopes
