Re: Reading tea leaves or better yet paper patches
When I was a youngun' out on grandparents chicken farm in Florida, I remember Grandma putting scratch feed in the big pocket on the front of her daytime apron the going out into the chicken yard and scattering the scratch feed randomly amongst her Bantams. Of course the chickens ran to and from trying to get to the sliver of corn before their nest mate.
This past week end I was at a long range match and watched some shooters pecking around in front of the firing line looking for slivers of paper patches from their fired patched bullets and reminded me for all the world like the chickens pecking at the ground where Grandma had scattered some scratch feed. And they were curious as to why I was laughing.

Sure wish old SMTAV could have been there to see that. He was sorely missed.

Me too.
I was afraid if I laid down on that mat I may not wake up in time to shoot each time.
But it was tempting to pull an all night road trip

Yeah, right! Knowing I would be right there behind you out of sight the entire time no snoozing possible. After first nod you would be on high ALERT!
Oh well, I guess any excuse is better than no excuse. Besides, only your presence was desired. Period. No attentiveness required or desired.

Well, glad I could amuse you (but you apparently are easily amused)!
Since we will be shooting together at Byers, I will bring grease groove bullets so you won't be embarrassed to be seen with me!

As long as you laugh at my jokes we will be just fine. Your shooting and spotting are always top notch.

I will be at Beyers, this could be a hoot to watch the sparring. I will be the one with the confetti on the line.

Sparring, what sparring? Just good old fashioned funnery and perhaps a bit of skullduggery.
Kenny and Johnny V will have had over two weeks to improve and refine their rhetorical funnery while Dave, Blair and Don keep shooting X's.
AND, should SEMTAV decide to grace us with his presence who knows what may transpire with that ongoing saga?
Notice Aviator's respect for his elders. Heart warming.

I'm just hoping to make it to our local match next month.
Then if I can get two 3X6 sheets of metal and a 36" bull made I'll copy Kenny's target.
What type metal did you use for the bull Kenny?
If I remember correctly, Brian H used a different metal to make his ring different.

In case the thought had not occurred to you, the bullseye only rings when hit.

What a novel idea. Did you discover that by yourself or did someone have to point it out to you ?desert deuce wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 7:39 pm In case the thought had not occurred to you, the bullseye only rings when hit.

Well, it's called divination. Hearing you were embarked on a certain direction my humanitarian side felt obligated to provide you with salient information with regards to your intended direction.
