Buddy found these in a shop unfired in MT. They were built years ago, 3000B serials. Amazing craftsmanship. I’m always amazed when I pick up a new Shiloh. These I found as I was trying to decide between ordering a 45-70 or a 40-65. The striped one is a 45-70 and weighs 10.8 pounds. The heavy half is the 40-65 and weighs 11.9 pounds. 45-70 will be a hunting rifle to go along with my saddle rifle in 45-90.
As luck would have it, about 30 mins after ups dropped these off, usps delivered a box full of mold from Steve Brooks. Another example of fine craftsmanship. His turnaround time was great as well.
Looking forward to learning more from you guys and getting some rifles out on the range.

Objects of beauty in function and form. You've done well there , that's for certain. Enjoy.

I just popped it up to get a pic. I’ll check them today. I’m changing some of that out anyway honestly. Thanks!

The 40-65 was off a good bit, the 45-70 wasn’t as bad but was slightly back. Thanks for the heads up. I didn’t realize how easy they were to adjust. The others at the house were all ok but I checked them too while I was at it!Lumpy Grits wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 6:38 am Beautiful
