I might try to join in the .22 @200. I'll have to go to Cody's for that to keep him honest.
Between deer hunting and blizzard warnings I haven't got the big bore one done yet.
Excuses...I know!

Haha. I've got so many partial loads I could probably do it all year without reloading.

Well, I still couldn't do better than Woody!

It was a miserable day for shooting, mid-20's with a stiff breeze in my face, and occasional freezing drizzle. But I need to decide which bullet and load to settle on so I can start casting and loading for Phoenix.

I had better groups today, but they weren't as closely lined up with the target center. So this is the best I could do today.

45-70 Shiloh, 200 yards

(.25+.44+1.44+1.19+1.56+1.81+1.88+1.88+2.5+3.44) X 5 = 81.95

Looks good aviator. It was too sunny and nice today so I went flying instead. Found 20 45 2 7/8 shells I loaded up a couple years ago that I really want to test but we are looking at snow the rest of the week.

Ha!
I went flying yesterday! The high was 8 degrees, and I couldn't get myself to go shooting.

I stayed warm yesterday!!!! I was supposed to be in the shop the last two days, but when it's in the low teens and twenties, I can't get my pole barn warm enough to work. I did load a lest load for my 40-65 High Wall. I plan on testing two loads while giving it a third try at breaking 50. I also want to get out with the .22. Today warmed some and I took advantage in the shop to get on top of a line box. Rain scheduled for tomorrow. I'll finish the box and have lunch with some friends. Maybe Thursday.

How are you doing the measurement on the bullet holes, out to the edge of the bullet hole or to the center of the bullet hole. The reason I'm asking, shooting mid-range at paper targets if the edge of the bullet cuts the X ring, you get an X, so the edge of the hole counts. I just want to be clear on what these shooters are doing, that's all.

Smoke,

I'm measuring from center of the X to center of the hole.

I can't believe Kurt is going to let that 188 stand and go play with itty bitty bullets 8)

I'm just measuring the middle of the bullet strike, which I think is what everyone is doing.
