In about 1966, I was stationed at Quantico, Va. The hunting season there is shotgun only on the reservation. The girl I was dating wanted to learn to hunt. I bought her an H & R 20 ga. She went to the range with me and after a fashion became quite an accomplished shot.
Season opening day, we are stalking and came upon a nice whitetail 4 point ( western count) She loaded her gun, aimed and fired. CLICK, again CLICK, one more time CLICK. I quitely told her eject the bad round and reload. As she broke the action, Lo and behold, out popped a tube of lipstick. She had it in the same pocket with the 20 ga. rounds. As long as we were together after that, She was known as the lady with the kiss of death. And, NO she did not get the deer. All of the laughter scared it away.
