I've also discovered that for optimum accuracy potential.....3 Our Fathers, 3 Hail Marys, and burning a candle at the church in honor of the Holy Mother....pays fantastic dividends!!

I find that holding my tongue against the left cheek works well. WARNING! DO NOT hold it against the right cheek unless you shoot left handed.

Good points, however since I use GOEX only for 100 yds. & under & Swiss Fg for longer I feel as if it's a waste for me to "sock it to ya!".

Interestingly, GOEX FFg gives me the best all 'round performance in all my CAS revolvers.

Do you wear that sock on the right foot or the left foot while you're "socking" your powder??? It makes a difference you know!!

Tough crowd ain't they, John Boy?

I've been "socking" my powder fer years, ever since I learned the method from Bill Knight. In my front stuffers I noted that cleaning was easier when using socked powder. Didn't take nearly as many patches down bore to get em shiney.

Donno if it makes that much difference in my Roller, but it sure don' hurt nuthin.

RMulhern, I took your advice and so I just pour my powder through a Smith & Wesson holster and it comes out fine.

What kind of sock? Suphose, cotton athletic, dress nylon, wool, ......

I've ever heard of sock puppets. Would they be acceptable?

Cloaked under the inquiring mind thing,

John Boy:

How kinky sounding is "transvestite to either foot?" One of my friend's wife spilled some black powder on a carpet and vacuumed over it. She then tried to wash out the slight darkened spot with soapy water. so, yes, I can imagine how much black comes out of washing the transvestite sock.
