- What are the dimensions of the barrel where it is breeched?

- What are breech thread specifications?

- What are the differences between the previously identified dimensions for Model 1863 barrels and Model 1874 barrels?

The NRA published a book on riflesmithing perhaps 40 years ago in large format softcover. It contains perhaps 80 (?) diagrams of thread patterns, sizes, and barrel shank dimensions. It has one on the Sharps. Find it and look for what you need there. If you want the information for rebarreling purposes, the existing dimensions can easily be copied from the old barrel after it has been removed.

The book I was referring to is titled The NRA Gunsmithing Guide--Updated, copyright 1982. It lists an OD of 1.238. The Sharps Borchardt is quite different. Lots of good stuff in that book.
