Any chance Shiloh will make a "freund" Sharps opti

Post by Texas Shooter »

Dear Kirk and Lucinda:

We were talking about this variation on the shooter board. Is there any chance Shiloh will make and offer a "freund" Sharps option?

It seems that this would be a natural addition to your current 1874 product line.

There is a company in Germany starting to make these. (see link below)

I know there would be interest in this variation, but many of us would rather buy American, specifically Shiloh.

Since the originals are very expensive to collect/own, your offering would probably be the only way most people in this country could afford and enjoy these.

What are your thoughts?

Given your current tooling, would this be a difficult option to incorporate?

Thanks for your time and Patience.

If Shiloh made it, I think it would be a very interesting variation and I would have to get at least one. But I would be interested ONLY if Shiloh made it.

Well, I hate to ruin anybody's day, but I haven't given a Fruend a whole lot of thought, but who knows someday. Kirk

Well, Kirk, quite frankly, as I said in a post on another thread, I really doubt that it would be worth the tooling and other expenses for you to come out with a Freund. But if you ever do decide it would be worth your while, I will definitely buy one (at least one). Besides, I, like most people am so happy with all of your current offerings that I find it difficult to imagine improvement on perfection. And to me, your rifles are perfection.

His prices are a bit steep compared to Shiloh. One EU = 1.23 US$
