Dove day on Clear Lake, La.

My granddaughter Anna Caroline with a few doves she's taken this afternoon. Long while yet until they quit flying so I'm certain she'll limit out before quitting time! Not only is the gal a good wingshooter....but she has patience in turkey and deer hunting also!

She looks like a fine young lady, that comes from GOOD STOCK
I am sure she will do well in life. She has had a good start.

In Kansas working at camp! Got rain yesterday and enough to get a stand of alfalfa so that is what we're doing now! Wheat is next! Was 115F here two days ago and about same at home! I'm 'burnt out' with hot weather and it could snow tomorrow for all I care! Seeing plenty of deer and turkey!
