I have a Hartford model and a #1 Sporter with the steel buttplate. In prone and in hunting clothing the length of pull is a little long. Can these be shortened or will the stock taper preclude this?

Hi Dean, It is all going to depend how much you want to chop and what kind of butt plate is on it. Thanks Kirk

I think 1 inch should be enough. They both have the steel shotgun style buttplates. If this is feasible, may I bring them to you at the Dallas show in a couple of weeks , or do they need to be shipped?
Thanks.Dean

Hi Dean, 1" is an awful lot when a steel plate is involved. You can see how small it is going to get. You are more than likely looking at a re-stock, that is until I can look at the guns. The girls aren't going to have room for anymore guns in the safe comming back from Dallas, so you will probably need to ship them. Thanks Kirk
