Hello from Canada!
I Thought I would put up a post with a few questions. I thought that a few other newbies may be looing for the same inf. and it may help them also.
So here goes,
I don’t see a cheekpeice on a military buttstock, is it possible to get?
Do you have a picture of the Saddle rifle with a military buttplate that you could send me?
Hand picked wood? Do you get a better grade or ?? What does that do for you?
When you order AA or AAA finish, are they satin or high gloss? Do you have a choice? How many more coats of oil do you get?
Is there any strength issues with the .45-110 and presentation grade wood?
When you order Bone and Charcoal finish does that include the buttplate, lever, and all the screws?
Can I put in a deposit now to get my place in line before I decide on what gun I want?
Oh, and thanks for the catalogue,
Darrin
A few question before I order

Good morning Sir, I copied all of your questions and will answer under each one.
I don’t see a cheekpeice on a military buttstock, is it possible to get?
-----No
Do you have a picture of the Saddle rifle with a military buttplate that you could send me?
------ No, same as above, it is impossible.
Hand picked wood? Do you get a better grade or ?? What does that do for you?
----- It does just what it says, you don't get a higher grade, but you do see what you get, which may be a little different figure than what I would pick for you.
When you order AA or AAA finish, are they satin or high gloss? Do you have a choice? How many more coats of oil do you get?
-----They are satin and there really is no choice.
Is there any strength issues with the .45-110 and presentation grade wood?
---- No
When you order Bone and Charcoal finish does that include the buttplate, lever, and all the screws?
----- You don't want the screws color cased, but everything else, yes.
Can I put in a deposit now to get my place in line before I decide on what gun I want?
---- Yes you may, in fact a lot of people do it this way.
I hope I have answered your questions well enough to help. Thanks Kirk Bryan

Thank you for your quick response! A couple more quick ones.
On the saddle rifle, the web page says it is available with a military buttplate?
What is the standard length of pull on a military stock (Hartford)? What about Shotgun stock on a #1?
Are all the models you offer based on the originals? Are any unique to Shiloh?
Again thank you
Darrin

Hi Darrin, We just up-dated our web page and you found one of the mistakes, sorry, but a military just will not work with a cheek rest.
The military stock will be 14" - 14 !/4" pull.
The montana rough rider and the saddle rifle are Shiloh stock designs. As far as all of the metal, it is true blue to the original. Thanks Kirk
