Fellas, I should have stated this initially, the guy in the picture with the wolf is one of our local fellas, not myself. I am an old fart not a yung buck like him LOL. Between trapping and some being shot they are getting rid af a few wolves around here. But I fear that it might be to late for the elk. There are hardly any elk left in the high country. Some left down lower but that is where the wolves now are also. Neighbors having them in their cows and not hard to cut wolf tracks in the snow about anywhere you go. It is a pretty sad deal.

They're starting to show up here now. I hope a few get planted before they spread. A few people around actually like seeing them but most don't want them around. A neighbor had to run a couple off after they attacked his dog. Don't really understand that since he owns an excavator....

Newby here as far as the wolf situation goes. I was under the impression that the wolves were pretty much protected out west and the farmers/ranchers had to use the three "S" method to protect their livestock.

There is a program out on TV called Mountainmen which is pretty much BS as far as I can see it. Ranchers had a guy come in and chase off a mountain lion and wolves so they wouldn't came back and kill the cattle. Yep,right sure,chase away so it won't come back.

Right now,in the north east,we have problems with eastern coyotes. Most folks think they are not a problem but there are a number of lost dog/cats posters around which indicates to me that we do,indeed,have a coyote problem.

When I go hunting,I come across occasionally some deer carcasses with a lot of coyote sign at the site. Yep,we have a coyote problem.
