Being thee polite fellow that I am. I let Orville shoot his buck first, then I shot this dry doe about 30 yards to the left of his buck. Thanks for giving the 3 year old ammo Orville, it worked like a champ in my 50!!

Yes Sir, if they taste like the deer I killed out there last year it's going to be great eating. Bill I shot my doe quartering to me. The bullet exited threw the left shoulder.

Congratulations, looks good Stephen. And you said you weren't a deer hunter, that's 2 years in a row :) . We use one of those plastic tobaggans to haul deer and antelope out with. They work pretty slick on snow or dry ground, alot easier than dragging them. Speaking of deer my wife is making deer chili right now.

Pete I'm starting to like deer hunting again, especially since I have a great place to hunt them. We had elk chili tonight :)

Ya shoulda had fresh mule deer liver :!: Best, mildest liver there is--fried in bacon grease with lots of onions, it's great. Whitetail liver is good too, but Mule Deer liver is better. I hated liver when I was a kid and it was good for you. Now it's not good for you and I love it. :)

Anyhow, congrats to both of you on the good shooting and doing it right!

Nice work boys. Now skin those deer and hang them about two weeks. Then skin them again and you'll have some mighty fine groceries. If you haven't tried hanging one a good long time, give it a try. I know they are good as is, but try it anyway.
